I saw a picture of an amigurumi bear laying down and it looked absolutely adorable, so i had to make my own. I looked for the pattern and it was on youtube!
I used chenille yarn for this project. I love the look and feel of chenille especially for amigurumi. The problem is that it is kinda annyoing to work with, but its worth it for the result. In my opinion, cotton yarn is also annoying to work with.
P.S. In my first post I talked about video games with a wool/crafty style. I've been playing some of the older Kirby games and came across Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, in which the characters and world look like they're made out of clay. Although I haven't played this one (yet) I wanted to add it to the list. ♡

Woof Woof

Look at this cute Dachshund I made recently! He's adorable with his silly big head.
I struggled a bit when i was sewing all the parts together, I think I could've done a better job with this guy. Assembling the parts together is my least favorite part of crochet anyway.
But it's alright, I plan on making many many more little dogs like this one and hopefully I'll see some improvement along the way. The next dog will be a Welsh Corgi.

Surrounded by Cuteness

There's something so wonderful about creating something with your hands. I love cute things, but its a special feeling when I hold something cute that I made myself. Do you know how some video games have a "yarn" or "crafty" art style? For example Yoshi's Crafted World / Woolly World and Kirby's Epic Yarn. Sometimes it's just a level, like Rose's Room in It Takes Two. Oh, and the Pillow World in adventure time. (I dream of being a pillow person.)

When I surround myself with my amigurumi animals, I feel a little bit closer to living in my own Woolly World

I think one of the reasons this style has a special place in my heart isn't just how cozy it looks. I played LittleBigPlanet 2 when I was a kid, it was one of the first video games I ever played regularly. I was in love with that game, but I also remember feeling lonely when I played it. Some of the levels required two players. I didn't know how to connect my playstation to the internet, and I didn't have anyone to play with locally. Still, that style and gameplay has left an impact on me. Have you heard of the newer game, Sackboy? It's actually a lot of fun, too, despite being different from the older games.
